Vintage Dresser Turned Bench

I really have a thing for old chest.  Every time I come across one I can seem to pass it up, no matter the condition it is in.  As you can see this chest had seen better days.  It was missing drawers and after I got the nasty fabric off the top I realized it was completely destroyed, it looked like someone had taken their anger out on it.  The frame of this dresser was still in great shape, and it is oak!  I couldn't just trash it....so....I decided to turn it into something else.....

A Bench!!

How cute is this turquoise bench!  And the drawer even functions!

Every bench needs a few fun pillows.  I love red and yellow with turquoise, it spices the piece up just a bit!

To dress this chest up I added some moldings to the drawer and bench seat.  This bench is painted with Quarry by Pratt and Lambert and then glazed to bring out all the fun details!  This bench is always sealed with a spar urethane for added protection.

I found these fun knobs at Home Goods, Score!

I will be posting a tutorial on how I converted this bench so check back soon!

 This bench is FOR SALE
It is $295 and comes with the 3 pillow envelopes.  The yellow pillow is 18x18 and the other 2 are 16x16.  Please send me an email if you are interested!  Brooke.n.larsen@gmail.com

Thank you
Brooke
