Chevron End Tables and Tutorial!

I bought these little end tables in March for my boutique I loved the french legs and the tops were still in great condition so I only Painted the legs, obviously they didn't sell so I listed them in the local classifieds and NOTHING nothing NOTHING.

I decided to get a bit more creative with them, and a little adventurous!

CHEVRON!!!

This was my second time attempting chevron, the first time I thought I would "just" free hand it!  If your thinking, "I never saw that one" your right!  It was so terrible I scratched the chevron and vowed to never try it again until......a good friend of mine asked me to paint some chevron for her.   So I grabbed these little tables and set out to figure out how the heck to get my chevron to look good....

I had to share this darling clock I got at a flea market last week, I LOVE IT!!!

To get a good chevron pattern you HAVE to put in the time to measure it all out!

First figure out how big you want your chevron, I wanted mine to fit the large size tape so I went with 3in x 3in squares!

Next start drawing your lines. A word of warning, DON'T use a pencil you will have to paint it again, learn from my mistake, maybe try using chalk.  I will be on my next project I will let you know how it goes!

Once your squares are all drawn out make a line from corner to corner to create your chevron pattern.

After it is all drawn decide where you want your tape and get to work.  For straight lines, see my TIP here!

Happy Chevron Making!!!
