Refinished Blue Dresser....

One of my good friends brought me this dresser to be refinished, she was contemplating giving it to the local thrift store but decided to have it refinished instead.  I think she made the right decision, don't you?  This piece is stunning, not to mention it is solid oak and in great condition.

This piece is painted in Deja Blue by Valspar and then antiqued with a oil based brown glaze.

I spray painted the original drawer hardware with Rustoleum's Metallic Oil Rubbed Bronze and then added the white knobs with the oil rubbed bronze details to tie them all together.

One of my favorite parts of finishing a piece is staging it.  I love to pull together different items from around my house to create the right setting for each piece, I like to think of it as the cherry on top!

  1. Brooke, your friend definitely made the right decision - it's beautiful, especially in that gorgeous Deja Blue color (love the name)!
