Beautiful Gray Hutch!

I am sure we all do those projects we think, "yeah, I like it but I don't LOVE it."  Well this project is not one of those because I LOVE LOVE LOVE this hutch.  It is one of those pieces I put so much time into, maybe too much that is up for debate.  The end result is worth all the hours spent, and yes I mean HOURS!!

I had a few left over cans of paint in my garage, I wasn't loving the color of any of them for this hutch, he gray I had was too gray and the cream I had, well I was just bored of cream.  I have cupboards full of paint, I hate to keep buying paint...... then I had one of those "AH HA" moments and I started mixing them all together, I couldn't have been more happy with this color, not too gray not too cream!

I then Glazed this piece with an oil based brown glaze, I love how it accents all the beautiful details of this hutch!

I always love a little contrast!
I replaced the back of this hutch with bead board I painted with Benjamin Moore's White Dove.

The new hardware matches this hutches new back drop and adds just a bit of elegance!
I love all the details of this hutch!

This hutch is up for SALE

  5. I love it too, and I like the glaze over the paint so much better than distressing. Well done!
