If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram you may have seen this door the hubs and I were working on turning into a headboard.
I am so thankful my husband knows how to cut crown. My head was spinning while I was watching him...everything is upside down and backwards to me.
And here it is......Didn't it turn out beautifully!
I wanted to make this piece look old and really bring out all the imperfections. Dry brushing does just that, and it has been awhile since I have dry brushed, so it was fun to change things up a bit.
The color of my walls in my entry way have been so popular and I love them.....but I had never painted a piece of furniture that color until today and I am glad I did, it looks as good on furniture as it does on my wall. The dark gray is Dansbury downs by Pratt and Lambert and then I dry brushed Sculpting Clay by Valspar over the top!
I left the old hardware on for added character!
I also had this cute little table in the garage that needed a little love. The top glass was broken
I took the old top off and created a new pink plank top.
I love how rich it makes this top! I didn't love the blunt edges with the fancy legs below so I routed them for the added bit of elegance!
The Headboard can fit a king, but can be made to a queen upon request.
SOLD
The table is $125 and measures 24 inches x 27 inches
